About New Moon Textiles
New Moon Textiles was started by Bobbie and Dorine in 2003. Bobbie had become a friend of Priscilla Bianchi, the Guatemalan art quilter. Priscilla was looking for someone to import and distribute her beautiful hand-dyed, hand woven, ikat style cottons to the U.S. Good friends, Bobbie and Dorine, had begun discussing going into business together and a concept was born. Since the beginning, we have also sold beautiful fabrics that complement the Guatemalan textiles such as batik cottons, silk dupioni, raw silk noil, hand-dyed fabrics, and colorful printed quilter’s cottons. We also carry quilt patterns and wearable art patterns that look great done in these fabrics. We exhibit at quilt and fiber shows in the western U.S. Our company is located in Southern California.
