This is a finish your project type class for serger machine owners. You will learn tips and tricks for your serger, as well as how to get past problems that you may be having.

Letty's BagSam HunterSunday, February 26,10:30am-4:30pm In this fun one-day class, you will complete Letty's Bag, the new darling of the quilted bag patterns on the market today. Made from 3 fabrics, the bag is approx 15 inches tall. It has two interior pockets all the way around the inside bottom, an optional cell phone pocket for the inside, and the big pretty pocket with a decorative button on the outside. The strap runs through 8 big grommets and can be used single across the body, or doubled over the shoulder or arm - either way, when the strap is pulled the bag automatically closes up. When open, it is a lovely big square bag that is easy to load up with your favorite goodies. It can be used as a tote or as a roomy everyday purse. Mary Ellen will introduce you to the basic shapes needed to do “no mark” free motion quilting. We will then combine these shapes into no mark feathers, McTavishing, creating your own designs, etc. Advance your free motion and have more confidence and fun quilting! |

Fabric Dyeing - Color Wheel - Brights or MutedSAM HUNTER Sunday March 11, 11am-5pm In this fun class, you will dye 24 half-yard pieces of fabric in a 24 step rainbow using dye supplied by the instructor and jelly jars/containers brought from home. You will take home jars filled with fabric to be washed at home. You will also take home a detailed handout of instructions for repeating what you learned on your own. There is a $25 materials fee paid directly to the instructor. |

Sampler Blocks: $5/month X 12 months = $60
Log Cabin Blocks: $60 one time charge = $60
Borders and Binding: $70 one time charge = $70
You can commit to just the blocks ($120) or all ($190) and be charged quarterly. Classes available too - $10 per month on either the second Monday evening or second Tuesday morning of each month. Kits can be mailed at an additional charge of $2 per month. The entire program will start in April 2012.
Marti Michell’s Template sets A and C and Log Cabin Ruler are highly recommended but not required. Those who sign up for this Block-of-the-Month program will be given a 20% discount off our retail price for those items.

Culture Club - With Dorine Nieuwenhuijs
The Culture Club is going to take you on a trip around the world.
Every six months you will travel to a different country, and be inspired by its culture, architecture, customs and history.
You will be able to take a trip around the world, without leaving your sewing room!
Every six months there will be a new range of fabrics designed by Leesa Chandler Designs for Robert Kaufman and a range of projects to complete which were inspired by a different country. There will be patterns for quilts, handbags and other items inspired by the country and the fabrics.
Passage toIndia is the first fabric range for our voyage around the world. These prints have been inspired by the culture, architecture and traditional textiles of this exotic land.
